IT’S SUMMER!! Well that’s what the calendar says but the weather doesn’t seem to agree. One minute it’s gorgeous sunshine then the next it’s raining. With most of us planning a staycation this year the last thing we need to be worrying about is if we have frizzy hair. 

At SHD, we are always thinking about what we can do to help our customers keep their hair in the best condition so we have now introduced a new treatment and a new service to our repertoire. 

Just before the very first lockdown, Katie and I visited the Goldwell Academy to be trained on their Kerasilk de-frizz treatment and Kerasilk straightening Keratin service. 

The Kerasilk de-frizz treatment will last for 4-6 weeks and the Kerasilk straightening keratin service lasts for a massive 3-5 months! 

When you come in to the salon for either the treatment or service, Katie will firstly sit down with you and discuss what it is you’d like to achieve, as the service can be tailored to not only your hair type but also your desired look. She will also advise you on how to make sure you maintain the look for the longest amount of time. In fact, on your first visit to have the Kerasilk straightening keratin service you will be gifted a home care package of shampoo and conditioner. 

You will see from the photo attached the amazing results that can be achieved.  The first after photo was taken straight after the service was completed, and was only finger dried and no extra finishing products were needed.  The second after photo was taken by the client themselves a week after the service, it had just been washed and blow dried roughly. She is a very happy lady! 

Katie is looking forward to helping more clients achieve great hair with a minimum of aftercare required.
